Tips For Your Tutoring:

While Tutoring On Line, or in a Tutoring Hall, follow a few Basic things that will Enable You to Provide a  Better & Effective Supplement to your Education. Firstly Connect Your Lessons to the Personal or Life-Experiences of your Students. Secondly, your Audience are Experienced People, with a Different Level of Education, Socio-Economic Status, Family & Social Back ground. Lastly, You  can bring Learning, Closer to them by Associating it with their Experiences, Expertise & Exposure.

  •  If you are tutoring them On Line, Or in a Tutoring Centre, Encourage them to Actively Participate during your Presentation. Also fully involve them in Preparing for the Next Session, Using Methods of Collecting information & giving them Regular Home - Assignments.
  •    Being Grown ups & Educated, they would definitely be very Conscious & Confirmed of their opinions.(Remember!  7th; Commandment of Human Behaviour, in your Early-Lessons of  ‘Tips For The Top’  where it was taught to you ‘to Always Respect the Opinions of Others’!)
  •   Be Conscious of that & Regularly get their Feedbacks.  They would be Glad to give their Advices and Suggestions.  Remember! Everyone likes to  HEAR  Something about their Progress & Improvement, from Others.
  •    Always Keep Your Students Motivated  & ‘ Focus on Their Interests & Goals’. Consider them as ‘An important Part of the Process’. Involve them,   especially from the very START of the PROGRAM!This would help YOU get them fully-involved in Your Entire Planning Process & in this way, Their Lessons would be Truly based on Their Needs & interests.
  •   Always Acknowledge & Appreciate their Progress & Improvement, in Private as well as in Public.
  •    Concentrate throughout on YOUR Students’ individual Needs & Levels they Achieve.  Some will  LEARN faster compared to the others.  So make sure that YOU as a TUTOR would be able to Cope Up with this improvement.  You would also have Those Students, Who have a limited Education, it would be Best for YOU to be Prepared to HELP Particularly, these kind of Students.
  •  Don’t get too much involved with their Personal Problems.  Some times  they would tend to Discuss their “Unresolved Personal Problems” with you.  Bear in Mind that you are a Tutor & not a Trained Counsellor.  For Personal Problems, you Should Refer them to the Professional Counsellors!
  •  There are times when the Students have Other Problems Besides their Education & Academic.  As Tutors, We may not be Prepared to Address these kinds of Problems.  Don’t hesitate to Refer them to other Professionals.  Their Academic issues could be the Root –Cause of the Psychological & Mental Problems like Hyperactivity, inability to Concentrate & Poor Focus. But before you Refer them to other Professionals, make sure that this is the Real, Genuine Reason & not just Some Excuse to Escape to Handle & Treat  The Difficult Students.
  •  The best Method would be to ‘Maintain Open Communication’ between Students & a Tutor, Provide a Friendly Atmosphere, so that a Student would be able to Communicate, Express & Progress in their Education without further Sacrificing a lot.
